Begin your day at the Dujiangyan Irrigation System, one of the greatest ancient water conservancy projects in human history. Built over 2,200 years ago during the Warring States Period, it remains fully functional today, irrigating vast fertile lands in the Chengdu Plain without any dams.

Walk through the well-preserved ancient water works and witness the ingenious design of the fish mouth division, sand weir, and bottle-neck channel. Next, head to the Dujiangyan Panda Valley for a quiet and authentic wildlife encounter. Different from crowded urban panda bases, this ecological sanctuary serves as a giant panda rewilding and research center, featuring semi-wild natural habitats with dense bamboo forests, clear streams, and quiet valleys.
