INFORMACIÓN IMPORTANTE
Castle of Vezio: Last access 30 minutes before closing. Closed in case of heavy rain or extreme weather events. Pets not allowed due to the presence of birds of prey.

Castle of Vezio: Arrival by train or ferry you have to reach by foot the Montecodeno restaurant. Right next to the restaurant, on your left, you will find the path to go up to the Castello di Vezio. The ascent is quite steep, but short. In less than 20 minutes (if you're good at it, otherwise calculate 30 minutes) you'll be in Vezio. We advise you to wear suitable shoes and in case of very high summer temperatures to stop in the shade to rest.
Once in Vezio, follow the signs, pass the "Le ceramiche di Vezio" shop and once you reach the church square you will find the entrance to the Castle to the left of the small cemetery.
Alternatively from Varenna you can take the path called "Scabium" on the opposite side of the town, the entrance is in front of Villa Monastero, the journey is slightly longer (40 minutes) and the panorama is better but it is completely in the sun.
