Depart from Chișinău and head to Capriana Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in Moldova. Founded in 1429, the monastery is located in the picturesque Codrii reservation, 40 km from Chișinău.
Explore the monastery, which includes the Churches of Virgin's Assumption (1545), Saint Nicholas (1840), and Saint George (1907), as well as the abbot's house, the refectory, and cells. The most ancient is the Virgin's Assumption Church, founded by Petru Rares.
Admire the bell-house with a pyramidal roof and an octagonal dome with a bulbous turret over the naos, built during the course of construction.
Next, depart to Chateau Cojusna Winery, a charming local wine estate known for its warm hospitality and authentic Moldovan character. Enjoy a tour and a wine tasting, which includes a tasting of 4 high-quality wines: Dry white wine Piatra Albă (blended from Fetească Albă, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat), Matured dry red wine Piatra Roșie (blended from Alicante, Ancellotte, Merlot), Dry red wine barrique 18 months Piatra Neagră (blended from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Saperavi), Collection liqueur red wine "Pastoral" 2001.
