ABOUT HAGIIN KHAR NUR
In the Erdene soum of the Central aimag, 180 km northeast of Ulaanbaatar, the branch of the Khan Khentii mountain range, which is a continuation of the Siberian Great Plain, is located in the lap of the Baga Khentii mountain range.
Amidst the mountains of Khiidyn Sardag, Khunkher Mountain, and Asgatyn Sardag, the beautiful lake surrounded by forests and green meadows is visible at an altitude of 1817 meters above sea level.
180 km east of Ulaanbaatar city
Day 1: Ulaanbaatar to Nomadic Family
Begin your adventure with a visit to the Great Chinggis Khaan statue, the world's largest equestrian statue. Explore the Archaeology Museum inside the complex, try on traditional Mongolian clothes, and take photos with camels, horses, and eagles.
Continue to a nomadic family, where you'll spend the night and experience their lifestyle. Once there, horses will be allocated and packhorses loaded.

Day 2: Horse Trekking to River Bulnai

After breakfast, set off on your trek into Mongolia’s breathtaking wilderness.
Take a break during the trip and have lunch. Continue horse trekking and camp by the river Bulnai. Spend the night in a tent and enjoy a bonfire.

Day 3: River Bulnai to North Tuul River

Get up early, have breakfast, and continue your journey. Spend the night at the North Tuul River, camping in a tent and enjoying a bonfire.

Day 4: North Tuul River to Khagiin Khar Nuur

After breakfast, continue horse trekking. Ride along the Tuul River, traversing it multiple times, and travel through diverse landscapes such as swampland, steppe, and taiga forests. Reach the moraine-dammed lake Khagiin Khar Nuur by the end of the day.

Set up camp by the lake, where you can swim or fish in the crystal-clear water, take a walk through the woods, or go bird and wild animal watching. Spend the night in a tent and enjoy a bonfire.

Day 5: Khagiin Khar Nuur

Spend the day horse trekking around the lake, swimming with the horses, hiking, or simply resting and absorbing the unique landscapes of the national park. Spend the night in a tent and enjoy a bonfire.

Day 6: Khagiin Khar Nuur to Taiga Forests

Continue horse trekking through the taiga forests. Enjoy delicious meals every day, have warm conversations about the trip, and get acquainted with the beautiful nature. Spend the night in a tent and enjoy a bonfire.

Day 7: Taiga Forests to Nomadic Family

Leave the lake behind and start traveling back towards the nomadic family, heading south on a different route that leads you through taiga forests. Spend the night in a tent and enjoy a bonfire.

Day 8: Nomadic Family

On horseback, appreciate the passing landscapes and inhale the fresh air as you comfortably ride towards the nomadic family. Continue horse trekking after breakfast until lunch. Spend the night with a nomadic family.

Day 9: Return to Ulaanbaatar

In the early morning, after breakfast, return to Ulaanbaatar. Drive to Ulaanbaatar and arrive in the afternoon, completing your journey.
