Ulaanbaatar: Genghis Khan Statue & Terelj Park 2-Day Tour

Day 1: Giant Chingis Khan Statue & The Wonders of Terelj National Park (56km)

Meet your guide in Ulaanbaatar at the designated point and head east through the open landscapes. Arrive at the world’s largest equestrian statue of Chingis Khan, standing 40 meters (131 feet) tall. Take an elevator up to the horse’s neck for a panoramic view of the Tuul River valley. Explore the onsite museum showcasing artefacts from the Mongol Empire.

Next, drive 30km into Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, famous for its beautiful nature with unique rock formations and larch forests. Check into a Deluxe Ger at a high-quality tourist camp, featuring traditional design with modern comfort.

After lunch, visit the legendary Turtle Rock, a natural granite formation that resembles a giant turtle. Then, hike up to the Ariyabal Meditation Temple, nestled on a mountainside. The path is lined with Buddhist wisdom, and the view from the top is breathtaking.

Visit a local nomadic family. Witness their daily lifestyle, help with chores if you wish, and taste organic dairy products and traditional Mongolian milk tea. In the evening, enjoy a traditional dinner and stay overnight in your cosy Ger.

Day 2: River Valley Exploration & Return to Ulaanbaatar (60km)

After a hearty breakfast, take a leisurely stroll along the scenic banks of the Terelj River. Enjoy the fresh mountain air and the peaceful alpine valley for about an hour. Then, depart for Ulaanbaatar. Arrive back in the city and get dropped off at your preferred location.
