Descripción

Nepal's ultimate Himalayan circuit: Gokyo Lakes, Cho La Pass & Everest Base Camp. Eco-certified operator, small groups, Expert Sherpa Guide and ~95% completion rate.
Two Icons. One Journey. One Operator That Gives Back.
Most Everest Base Camp treks follow a rushed schedule, pushing trekkers quickly to 5,364 meters. At Green Getaways, we take a different approach — one where the journey is just as meaningful as the destination. Our 22-day Gokyo Lakes and Everest Base Camp Trek is carefully designed to give you the best possible Himalayan experience, combining two iconic routes into one seamless and unforgettable adventure.

This trek takes you beyond the ordinary. You will cross the legendary Cho La Pass, stand at the base of the world’s highest peak, and witness a breathtaking sunrise from Kala Patthar. Along the way, you will also spend peaceful moments beside the stunning turquoise glacial lakes of Gokyo — places many trekkers never reach. With expert guides who have completed this route over 100 times, and recognition from Nepal’s Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee (SPCC), this journey offers both expertise and responsibility. This is not just another trek — it is an experience that stays with you for life.

Why 22 Days Makes a Difference
One of the biggest challenges on the Everest Base Camp trek is altitude sickness, often caused by rushed itineraries. Our 22-day plan is built around proper acclimatization, ensuring your body adjusts safely. We include dedicated acclimatization days in Namche Bazaar (3,440m) and Dingboche (4,410m), following the “climb high, sleep low” principle. By approaching Everest Base Camp through the Gokyo Valley, you reach high altitude already well adapted. This thoughtful pacing leads to a success rate of around 95% for our trekkers.

Discover the Hidden Beauty of Gokyo Valley
Before reaching Everest Base Camp, your journey passes through the breathtaking Gokyo Valley — home to the world’s highest freshwater lake system. Staying beside Dudh Pokhari, the largest of the Gokyo Lakes, offers a sense of peace and beauty that the main EBC trail cannot match. From Gokyo Ri (5,357m), you can see four of the world’s highest peaks at once: Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu. Crossing the Cho La Pass (5,420m) into the Khumbu Valley becomes a proud and unforgettable achievement.

Trekking With Purpose: Sustainability at Heart
Green Getaways is committed to responsible tourism. Through our partnership with the Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee, we actively protect the fragile Himalayan environment. Trekkers participate in a Waste Deposit Incentive, encouraging proper waste management. We stay in eco-friendly teahouses powered by solar and biogas energy, reducing dependence on firewood. A portion of your trek fee supports reforestation projects within Sagarmatha National Park. Our guides also ensure that you follow designated trails to protect sensitive areas like glaciers. Before the trek begins, we provide a sustainability briefing so you can travel responsibly and confidently.
