Your guide’s live commentary details the seasonal highlights you pass during the 50-minute tour. It’s a great way to see this 21-hectare space for those who have limited time or mobility, or for garden enthusiasts: there’s something to see every season!
The Botanic Gardens Tour offers tours between 10am – 4pm daily in summer and between 11am – 3:30pm Thursday – Sunday in winter. Tours take around 50 minutes and end back at the departure point.
Our electric shuttles use clear plastic sides and we provide blankets to keep our guests dry and warm on rainy days.

• Please note due to the limited space on the shuttles we are unable to accommodate wheelchairs, walking frames, & strollers on the tour at this time.
• Please notify the supplier at least 24 hours in advance of any cancellation. Cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund.
• Please note that this tour can be affected by the weather. The local supplier reserves the right to cancel or postpone your tour for safety or comfort reasons. If this situation occurs and you cannot reschedule a full refund will be provided to you.
The tour departs from behind the Peacock Fountain close to the Botanic Gardens entrance on Rolleston Avenue: look for our purple flag marking the departure point.
