Your first stop is Te Kano Estate, where contemporary architecture, sweeping vineyard views and a premium cellar door provide a memorable introduction to the wines of the region. Enjoy a hosted tasting and discover the distinctive character of Central Otago wines.
Continue to Carrick Winery, a certified-organic winery overlooking the Bannockburn vineyards. Settle in for another hosted wine tasting featuring a selection of Carrick wines. Depending on the season, there is also the opportunity to enjoy lunch at the winery at your own expense, allowing you to choose what you would like rather than having a set lunch included.
From Bannockburn, journey through the spectacular Kawarau Gorge towards Gibbston, where Central Otago’s modern wine story began.
At Gibbston Valley Wines, venture inside New Zealand’s largest wine cave, carved into the schist rock of the mountainside. Join a guided wine cave tour and tasting while learning about the winery, the cave and the region’s winemaking history.
More than simply visiting three cellar doors, this tour has been designed to give you three different winery experiences across two contrasting Central Otago wine regions.
Throughout the day, travel with a New Zealand local guide who shares insights into the region, its wines and the places you visit. Winery or experience changes: On rare occasions, a winery or experience may need to be substituted due to availability or operational requirements. If this happens, you will be notified and can choose either to accept the alternative experience or receive a full refund.
