Take a scenic, 35-minute metro ride up to Frognerseteren to start your trip. Rising 500 meters above the city, you’ll meet your local guide, take in panoramic nighttime views over the illuminated cityscape below, and step onto silent, snow-dusted forest trails.

Before venturing into the dark, your guide will provide a quick safety briefing and assist everyone in lighting traditional wax-burning hand torches. As flickering light warms the snowy path, you will trek through towering pine trees into the heart of the forest. Along the walk, your guide will introduce you to friluftsliv—Norway’s outdoor lifestyle philosophy—while sharing folklore tales of forest spirits and winter survival traditions.
