Day 1: Nizwa – Al Hamra – Misfah Al Abriyeen – Jebel Shams

Your journey begins with hotel pickup in Muscat before traveling to the historic city of Nizwa. Visit the magnificent Nizwa Fort, one of Oman's most iconic landmarks, and explore the bustling Nizwa Souq, where you can browse traditional handicrafts, silver jewelry, pottery, spices, dates, and local products.

Continue to Al Hamra, one of Oman's oldest preserved villages, known for its centuries-old mud-brick houses and authentic Omani atmosphere. From there, visit the picturesque mountain village of Misfah Al Abriyeen, famous for its narrow stone pathways, lush date plantations, and ancient falaj irrigation system that still supplies water to the village today.

After exploring these cultural treasures, drive through the dramatic Al Hajar Mountains to Jebel Shams, the highest mountain in Oman. Stop at panoramic viewpoints overlooking the spectacular Grand Canyon of Oman before checking in at Jebel Shams Resort.

Day 2: Grand Canyon of Oman – Balcony Walk – Return to Muscat

Wake up to a refreshing mountain sunrise and enjoy breakfast at the resort before beginning one of Oman's most famous hiking experiences—the Balcony Walk.

This approximately 5-hour round-trip hike follows a scenic trail carved into the cliffs of Wadi Ghul, also known as the Grand Canyon of Oman. The trail offers breathtaking panoramic views of towering cliffs, dramatic rock formations, and deep canyon landscapes. Along the way, you'll reach the abandoned village of As Sab, where traditional stone houses cling to the mountainside, offering a fascinating glimpse into Oman's mountain heritage.

After completing the hike, begin the scenic drive back to Muscat, arriving in the evening with unforgettable memories of Oman's rich culture, stunning landscapes, and spectacular mountain scenery.
