Begin your tour with a visit to the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, home to one of the largest handmade Iranian carpets in the world. Admire the intricate design, which weighs 21 tons and can accommodate up to 20,000 worshippers.

Next, drive past the ministries and the Royal Opera House, a leading arts and culture organization in Oman. Continue to Qurum Beach for a photo stop, and enjoy a taste of Omani bread with honey and karak tea.

On Fridays, both the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and the Royal Opera House Muscat are closed to visitors. During this time, the stop will be for photos outside only, and the guide will provide an explanation about the sites.
