Located in the heart of Amsterdam, ARTIS is the oldest zoo in the Netherlands and the fifth oldest in the world.

Buy your tickets for ARTIS Summer Nights. Every saturday in July and August, ARTIS Zoo will be opened until the sun goes down. Enjoy the summer at ARTIS. Another summer full of special evenings is approaching. Stroll in the evening sun past lions and flamingos, visit the elephant calfs, enjoy live music on the grass and join the various activities.

Please note: with a Summer Nights ticket, you may enter ARTIS Zoo from 4 pm – 9:30 pm. There are many activities for the whole family, and the main act starts at 7 pm.

If taking the GVB Public transport, catch Tram 14 from Amsterdam Central Station that stops at ARTIS Amsterdam Royal Zoo. Tram stops 7 and 19 are at walking distance from ARTIS. The nearest metro station is Waterlooplein, a 10-minute walk from ARTIS.
