From Arequipa: Countryside Sightseeing Tour with Local Guide

Yanahuara:
This traditional neighborhood in its historic area features narrow streets characterized by their picturesque Spanish style. It is home to one of the most outstanding churches in regional art. The square has a vantage point with a view of the city and its three volcanoes: Misti (5,825 m above sea level), Chachani (6,075 m above sea level), and Pichu Pichu (5,554 m above sea level). Nearby, we'll also find craft centers.

Carmen Alto Vantage Point:
Located in the traditional district of Cayma, in the village of Carmen Alto, from where you can see the terraces, or "andenerías," which make up the farmland and the course of the Chili River.

Mini Zoo:
It offers top-quality alpaca apparel for export. It also has a mini zoo, where various South American camelids are on display, such as llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and guanacos.

Mansion del Fundador:
Built 10 km from the main square, this colonial-style mansion is said to have belonged to the founder of the city and other prominent figures. Today, its beautiful interiors house works of art, furniture from various eras, and various collectibles.

Sabandía Mill:
The Sabandía Mill is located 8 km south of the city of Arequipa. Along the way, you can see the extensive terraces and the three volcanoes (Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Pichu) that frame the landscape surrounding this traditional little town. The Sabandía Mill showcases the typical architecture of the region, where the use of ashlar stone predominated. It is characterized by its solid buttresses and rustic balconies, making it a historic monument that evokes bygone eras and the ingenuity and hard work of the people of Arequipa. You can also see the techniques used to process wheat, a process carried out with huge stone wheels.

At the end of the sightseeing tour, the Mirabus drops you off as close as possible to Plaza de Armas.
