Cusco: Humantay Lake Horseback Tour with Breakfast and Buffet Lunch

Enjoy a unique experience at the magical Humantay Lagoon, including a horseback ride, perfect for travelers who prefer a more relaxed and less strenuous pace.
You will be picked up directly from your accommodation between 4:00 AM and 4:30 AM; the exact time may vary slightly depending on the location of your accommodation. We will begin our journey very early in the morning, heading for Humantay Lake. After an approximately 2-hour journey, we will arrive at the town of Mollepata, where we will enjoy an Andean breakfast to refuel. We will then continue by vehicle to Balcompata.

The hike will begin in the Balcompata area, from where we will take an easy walk of approximately 20 minutes to the point where the horses will be waiting. From there, we will begin the ascent on horseback to the lagoon, enjoying breathtaking high Andean landscapes and privileged views of the snow-capped Salkantay. After approximately 40 minutes of climbing, we will reach the beautiful lagoon, located at an elevation of over 4,200 meters (13,776 feet) above sea level, where we will have free time to rest, take photos, and enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings.
Afterward, we will begin the descent on foot (approximately 1 hour), which will allow us to better appreciate the scenery and take more photographs. Upon returning to Balcompata, we will board our return transport and stop in Mollepata to enjoy a hearty lunch. Finally, we will continue our return journey to Cusco, arriving at approximately 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM, bringing this unforgettable experience to a close.
