From Cuzco: Vinicunca & Red Valley Off-Road Adventure Red Valley and Rainbow Mountain Tour (Quad doble).

Ride an ATV through the Andes to Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain and the Red Valley. Enjoy less hiking, incredible mountain views, and an exciting journey through one of Cusco’s most colorful landscapes.
Start your adventure with an early 3:20 - 4:00 AM pickup from your hotel or accommodation in Cusco. Travel by tourist transportation through the spectacular Andean countryside, passing traditional villages, valleys, and high-altitude landscapes.

After approximately 2 hours on the road, stop at a local restaurant to enjoy breakfast. Then continue for about another hour toward the ATV base, where your off-road adventure begins.

Upon arrival, meet your local guide and receive a safety briefing and instructions on how to operate your ATV. Put on your helmet and get comfortable with the vehicle before starting the ride.

ATV Adventure

Ride your ATV along a scenic high-altitude route surrounded by colorful mountains, wide valleys, and impressive Andean landscapes. Along the way, you may also see llamas and alpacas grazing in the surrounding mountains.

The ATV journey significantly reduces the amount of walking required compared with the traditional hiking route to Rainbow Mountain.

After reaching the designated ATV parking area, continue on foot toward the main viewpoints.

Explore the spectacular Red Valley, known for its striking red and earthy tones, and enjoy time to walk, take photographs, and admire the surrounding scenery.

Continue toward Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain, located at more than 5,000 meters above sea level. From the viewpoint, admire the mountain's distinctive natural colors and enjoy panoramic views of the Andes with snow-capped Ausangate in the distance.

The complete experience in the mountain area takes approximately 2 to 3 hours, including the ATV ride, short walks, viewpoints, sightseeing, and photo stops.

After exploring Vinicunca and the Red Valley, return to the ATV parking area and ride back to the base.

Board your tourist transportation and travel back to the local restaurant, where you will enjoy a well-deserved buffet lunch.

After lunch, relax during the return journey to Cusco. The tour ends at approximately 5:00–5:30 PM near Cusco's Main Square.

Important: This tour takes place at very high altitude. We recommend spending at least 2 days in Cusco before the activity to acclimatize. The exact ATV riding and walking times may vary depending on weather, trail conditions, group pace, and operational conditions.
