Discover Lake Titicaca on a 2-day tour from Puno. Visit the Uros Floating Islands, stay with a local family on Amantani Island, and explore Taquile Island's traditional textile culture.
Day 1: Puno – Uros Floating Islands – Amantani Island

Begin with pickup from your hotel in Puno and transfer to the main port. Board a tourist boat and cruise across Lake Titicaca, one of the highest navigable lakes in the world.

Visit the Uros Floating Islands, built from totora reeds. Meet the local community and learn how they build and maintain their islands, homes, and traditional boats using ancestral techniques. Discover their way of life and visit the local handicraft market. An optional totora reed boat ride is also available.

Continue to Amantani Island, where a local family will welcome you into their home. Enjoy a traditional lunch with local ingredients such as quinoa, potatoes, and other Andean products while learning about their customs and daily life.

In the afternoon, hike to the ceremonial centers of Pachatata and Pachamama, located above 4,100 m (13,450 ft). Enjoy spectacular 360-degree views of Lake Titicaca and the surrounding highlands.

These sacred sites are deeply connected to the Andean worldview. Depending on local conditions and community arrangements, participate in a traditional Pachamama offering ceremony led by a local Andean shaman or spiritual guide. Learn about the ancestral connection between the Andean people, the land, and Pachamama, and the spiritual importance of these ceremonial sites.

Return to the community for dinner with your host family. In the evening, enjoy a cultural gathering with traditional music, dancing, and clothing. Spend the night with a local family on Amantani Island.

Day 2: Amantani Island – Taquile Island – Puno

After breakfast, learn more about your host family's ancestral culture, daily activities, and traditional ways of processing local products. Then travel by boat to Taquile Island.

Explore the island on foot along traditional stone paths while enjoying panoramic views of Lake Titicaca and the Andes. Learn about Taquile's traditional textile culture, recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage, and discover its customs, traditional clothing, agricultural terraces, and weaving techniques.

Enjoy a traditional dance performed by local community members as a gesture of appreciation for your visit. Have lunch with panoramic lake views before visiting the local artisan market to see handmade textiles and crafts.

In the afternoon, return by boat to Puno and transfer to your hotel, concluding your 2-day Lake Titicaca cultural experience.
