Cusco: Private Inca Ruins & Alpaca Sanctuary Tour

Explore Cusco's archaeological sites on a private tour. Visit Qorikancha, Sacsayhuamán, Q'enqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay. End with a visit to an alpaca and llama farm.
Begin your tour at Qorikancha, also known as the Temple of the Sun. Admire the small temples dedicated to the sun, moon, and stars, which preserve the original Inca stone foundations. Outside, explore the gardens and fountains that were once part of the ancient Temple of the Sun.

Continue to Sacsayhuamán, where you’ll see massive stone blocks carved and assembled with impressive precision. During the Inti Raymi festival, locals make offerings to Pachamama using sacred coca leaves.

Next, visit Q'enqo, an important Inca ceremonial center carved directly into the rock. Notice the zigzag channels at the top and the trapezoidal niches inside.

Head to Puka Pukara, known as the “red fortress” due to the reddish color of its iron-rich rocks. Enjoy panoramic views of this archaeological complex, which served as an Inca military control center.

Then, visit Tambomachay, where you’ll see aqueducts and water fountains fed by nearby springs. This site was an important center for water worship and adoration.

Finally, visit a private alpaca and llama farm. Watch a demonstration on how to identify baby alpaca fiber and the exclusive vicuña wool, considered the finest in the world.
