Discover the Romanian Carpathian where over 5500 bears roam, on a wildlife watching adventure. Meet a forest ranger who will teach you about the animals and their natural habitat.
Head deep in the forests surrounding Brasov. The vehicle that will pick you up and bring you to the forest will stop approximately 200-300 meters away from the observation hide. Walk for a short distance to the hide and then wait quietly, for the wildlife to come out. Everything is real and wild. Please note that there is no 100% guarantee that you will spot any wildlife, but statistically, there are very high chances to spot brown bears, and also lynx, foxes, wolves, and wild boars.
Once the sun is setting and it is getting darker, start making your way back and return to Brasov, as you will not be able to see anything in the dark and walking through the forest during the night can be dangerous.
The meeting time is set according to the dusk time and can, therefore, vary a little. The starting time for this adventure runs from 6 PM in mid-summer time to 3 PM in November, when the days have already become very short.

• Wear comfortable shoes for easy walking in the forest
• You will be in the forest for approximately 2-3 hours
• For safety reasons, a forest ranger will be with you at all times
• Do not bring food
• To increase the chances of spotting wildlife, wear simple non-bright colors and do not use perfume
• Keep quiet all time and listen to the forest ranger’s indications while in the forest
