From Kigali: 2-Day Nyungwe Chimpanzee Trek, Canopy & Zipline

Embark on a 2-day adventure from Kigali to Nyungwe National Park. Trek through the forest to see chimpanzees, walk above the forest on a canopy bridge, and soar above the treetops on a zipline.
Day 1: Kigali – Cultural Visits – Transfer to Nyungwe

Begin your journey with an early morning pickup from Kigali. Enjoy a scenic drive through Rwanda’s beautiful countryside as you head south. Along the way, stop at King's Palace Museum in Nyanza, where you’ll learn about Rwanda’s royal history and traditional way of life.

Continue to the Ethnographic Museum in Huye (Butare), one of the finest museums in East Africa, showcasing Rwanda’s culture, traditions, and history. Enjoy lunch en route before proceeding toward Nyungwe National Park.

Upon arrival, check in at your hotel near the park. Spend the evening at leisure, surrounded by the peaceful rainforest atmosphere, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking – Canopy Walk – Zipline – Return to Kigali

Wake up early for an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience in Nyungwe National Park. After a briefing, head into the forest with experienced guides in search of chimpanzees. As you track them through the jungle, listen to their calls and observe them in their natural habitat—an exciting and memorable wildlife encounter.

Return for lunch at the lodge before continuing with the afternoon activities. Later, visit the famous canopy walkway, suspended high above the forest floor, offering stunning panoramic views of the rainforest.

Complete your adventure with an exhilarating zipline experience, soaring above the treetops and taking in Nyungwe from a unique perspective. After the activities, begin your scenic drive back to Kigali, arriving in the evening.
