Day 1: Lagoons, High-Andean Communities & Cultural Immersion

Begin with an early morning drive from Cusco to the district of San Salvador, a picturesque area rich in history, culture, and spectacular scenery. Along the way, your guide will introduce you to local traditions, Andean cosmology, and the importance of this region in Inca times.

Upon arrival, begin a moderate 3-hour hike through the stunning high-altitude communities of Seusa and Camaura. The trail offers unforgettable panoramic views of the Andes, rolling green valleys, grazing alpacas, and a series of pristine mountain lagoons rarely visited by tourists.

One of the highlights of the day is Terecocha Lagoon, a magical place surrounded by mountains and traditional farmlands. Here, enjoy a delicious picnic lunch while sharing moments with local community members, learning about their ancestral customs, farming techniques, traditional clothing, and way of life.

In the afternoon, continue exploring the area before arriving at a local family home where you will spend the night. This is a true cultural immersion experience, allowing you to participate in daily activities, learn about traditional Andean lifestyles, and enjoy authentic hospitality passed down through generations.

Day 2: Sacred Mountains, Waterfalls & The Living Sacred Valley

After a traditional Andean breakfast, begin a 3-hour moderate hike through spectacular mountain landscapes. Along the route, reach a scenic viewpoint offering breathtaking views of Apu Pachatusan, one of the most revered sacred mountains in the Cusco region and an important spiritual guardian in Andean beliefs.

Continue your journey and descend toward the beautiful Choqo Waterfalls, hidden among the mountains and surrounded by untouched nature. This peaceful setting provides excellent opportunities for photography and connection with the natural world.

Later, return to San Salvador in the Sacred Valley, where a traditional homemade lunch awaits you. Enjoy local flavors prepared with fresh Andean ingredients while reflecting on the experiences of the previous two days. After lunch, begin your return journey to Cusco.
