Descripción
Private 4x4 adventure to Santa Ana Volcano with crater views, Geisha coffee by Lago de Coatepeque, Mayan ruins at Tazumal, and relaxing hot springs at Malacatiupán Waterfall.
Your adventure begins with pickup in a 4x4 truck, giving you an authentic taste of everyday life in El Salvador as we head west toward the Santa Ana region.
We drive to Santa Ana Volcano (Ilamatepec), where we skip the line and begin our ascent. The hike takes us through dramatic volcanic landscapes until we reach the summit, where you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the turquoise crater lake—one of the most impressive sights in the country. After time to enjoy the views and photos, we hike back down.
Next, we stop for lunch at a scenic location overlooking Lago de Coatepeque, where you’ll have the chance to enjoy award-winning Salvadoran Coffee of Excellence, including Geisha coffee, paired with incredible lake views.
We then continue to Tazumal, one of El Salvador’s most important Mayan archaeological sites, where you’ll explore ancient ruins, learn about Mayan culture, and have time to shop for local souvenirs.
Our journey continues to El Salto de Malacatiupán Waterfall in Atiquizaya, Ahuachapán. Here, you’ll relax and unwind in the natural hot springs, surrounded by lush greenery—an unforgettable way to end the day.
Finally, we head back, bringing an epic day of volcanoes, culture, coffee, waterfalls, and hot springs to a close.
