4x4 adventure to Santa Ana Volcano, crater views, Geisha coffee at Lago de Coatepeque, plus a ferry ride and optional jet skiing
Your adventure begins with pickup in a 4x4 truck, giving you an authentic taste of everyday life in El Salvador as we head west toward the Santa Ana region.
We drive to Santa Ana Volcano (Ilamatepec), where we skip the line and begin our ascent. The hike takes us through dramatic volcanic landscapes until we reach the summit, where you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the turquoise crater lake—one of the most impressive sights in the country. After time to enjoy the views and photos, we hike back down.
Next, we stop for lunch at a scenic location overlooking Lago de Coatepeque, where you’ll have the chance to enjoy award-winning Salvadoran Coffee of Excellence, including Geisha coffee, paired with incredible lake views.
After lunch, we head down to Lago de Coatepeque for a relaxing and fun lakeside experience. You’ll have time to take a ferry ride around the lake, enjoy the fresh breeze and panoramic views, and—if you’d like—spend time jet skiing on the water for an exciting adventure on one of El Salvador’s most beautiful lakes.
Finally, we head back, bringing an epic day of volcanoes, lake views, coffee, and adventure to a close.
