Begin your adventure with a morning pickup from your hotel in Dakar or the surrounding areas. Travel to Bandia Wildlife Reserve, about 1.5 hours from Dakar. On arrival, switch to a safari truck and set off with a local guide, who will help you spot animals and explain what you’re seeing along the way.
Spend around 2 hours exploring the reserve and enjoying the classic safari experience—comfortably seated, with great photo opportunities. Next, continue to the Lagoon of Somone, about 30 minutes from Bandia.
Take a 1-hour boat ride through peaceful mangroves, a beautiful natural habitat known for its rich birdlife and tranquil waterways. You’ll have time to stop for lunch (optional, not included) before heading back.
At the end of the tour, sit back and relax as you’re driven directly back and dropped off at your hotel or selected location.
