From Isandlwana, travel to Rorke’s Drift, stopping at the Buffalo River as you cross from former Zululand into Natal. Here, the geographic and political importance of the river is explained.

At Rorke’s Drift, your guide recounts the legendary defense of the mission station—how a small British Garrison withstood overwhelming odds. Explore the museum and walk the site while hearing an explanation of the battle and why, in stark contrast to Isandlwana, the British emerged victorious.
