Before cooking, you will learn about the importance of Korean fermentation culture and traditional sauces such as doenjang (soybean paste), ganjang (soy sauce), and gochujang (Korean chili paste). These naturally fermented ingredients are the foundation of Korean cuisine and create rich, deep flavors in plant-based dishes.
During the class, you will prepare your customized Korean temple food menu using fresh seasonal vegetables and natural ingredients. Your chef will guide you step by step, from ingredient preparation to plating, while explaining the mindful cooking philosophy behind each dish. You will discover how Korean temple cuisine creates harmony, balance, and delicious flavors without meat or artificial seasonings.
After cooking, enjoy the meal you have created together in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. As you taste each dish, you will experience the simplicity, beauty, and depth of Korean plant-based cuisine.
To complete your experience, relax with a traditional Korean dessert tea and enjoy a peaceful moment while sharing stories and asking questions about Korean food culture, fermentation, and cooking techniques.
