Begin your festive adventure with a pickup from your hotel in Basel. Settle into a comfortable Mercedes vehicle and relax as you journey to Strasbourg, the "Capital of Christmas."
Upon arrival, explore the Christkindelsmärik, one of the oldest Christmas markets in Europe. Wander between the stalls on Place Broglie and around the magnificent Gothic cathedral of Notre-Dame. Admire the giant Christmas tree on Place Kléber, and walk along the canals and half-timbered houses of the Petite France district. Taste Alsatian treats such as bredele biscuits, gingerbread, pretzels, and hot spiced wine.
Next, cross the Rhine into Germany and reach Baden-Baden, an elegant spa town on the edge of the Black Forest. Its Christmas market is set in front of the grand Kurhaus, among the trees of the spa gardens. It is known for its refined atmosphere, quality handicrafts, and German specialties such as roasted almonds, bratwurst, and Glühwein. Stroll through the old town and stay as night falls, when the lights make the market glow.
Finally, relax on the drive back to Basel, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel.
