Arusha: 6-Day Northern Tanzania Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania. Be picked up at the Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha airport and transferred to your accommodation. Meet your guide who will brief you on your upcoming safari and do an equipment check to make sure you have all the necessary mountain gear. The missing gear can be rented on this day. Overnight in Arusha.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire
Meet your guide and drive to Tarangire National Park. Stop at the entrance for formalities then drive to the public campsite and drop off your chef and all staff. Proceed for a game drive around Tarangire River with a picnic lunch. The Tarangire National Park is home to elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopards, antelopes, zebras, and kudu. Return to camp for the night.

Day 3: Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro
Wake up early and take breakfast, then load all your staff in the jeep and depart to Ngorongoro Crater. Go on a game drive in the crater with a picnic lunch. The crater is known for its black rhinos and flamingos in Lake Makat. Afterward, drive to Serengeti National Park. Overnight at Dik dik Camp.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park
Enjoy a full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park with a picnic lunch. The park is the largest and oldest in Tanzania. The Central Serengeti Seronera area is well known for cats. Enjoy your lunch at the savanna and go on a game drive on the kopjes watching carnivores like leopards, lions, hyenas, and cheetahs. Return to camp for the night.

Day 5: Serengeti – Lake Manyara
After breakfast, go on a game drive in Serengeti National Park. Drive to the entrance and exit then drive to Karatu via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you have a chance to visit the local Maasai tribe. Overnight at Mgombani Campsite.

Day 6: Lake Manyara - Arusha
After breakfast, depart to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing. This park is covered with the forest and open woodland of acacia. It is a bird park and home to primates, buffalos, warthogs, bushbucks, and impalas. Afternoon, exit the park and return to Arusha.
