After pickup from your accommodation in Moshi or Arusha, travel through the beautiful Kilimanjaro countryside to Materuni Village. Meet your friendly local guide and begin a scenic walk through coffee farms, banana plantations, and lush tropical vegetation. Along the way, children and adults can learn about local plants, agriculture, village life, and the Chagga community. The trail takes approximately 45–60 minutes each way and leads to the impressive Materuni Waterfall, where your family can enjoy the refreshing mist, beautiful scenery, and memorable photography opportunities.

Return to the village for an engaging farm-to-cup coffee experience. Learn how locally grown Arabica coffee is cultivated, harvested, dried, roasted, ground, and traditionally brewed. Family members can participate in the preparation process, enjoy lively Chagga songs, and taste freshly brewed Kilimanjaro coffee. Children can enjoy an appropriate non-coffee refreshment. Afterwards, share a freshly prepared Tanzanian lunch featuring local flavors and warm village hospitality.

Continue to Kikuletwa Hot Springs, also known as Chemka Hot Springs, a peaceful natural oasis surrounded by tropical vegetation and large fig trees. Although commonly called hot springs, the water is naturally refreshing rather than hot. Spend the afternoon swimming, floating, relaxing beside the water, or capturing beautiful family photographs.

At the end of the experience, meet your driver-guide for a comfortable return transfer to your accommodation. The itinerary can be adjusted according to the children’s ages, walking abilities, and your family’s preferred pace. Parents or guardians must supervise children throughout the tour, particularly along the waterfall trail and near the water.
