From Zanzibar: 2-Day Mikumi National Park Safari with Train

Day 1: Zanzibar – Dar es Salaam – Mikumi National Park

Begin with an early morning pickup from your Zanzibar hotel. Transfer to the ferry terminal for the high-speed crossing to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, board the modern express train for a comfortable two-hour journey through Tanzania's picturesque landscapes to Morogoro.

On arrival, meet your safari driver and transfer to Mikumi National Park. In the late afternoon, enjoy your first game drive as the African sun begins to dip. Keep your camera ready for elephants, giraffes, zebras, and perhaps even lions or leopards near the waterholes. After your game drive, settle into your lodge for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay near the park.

Day 2: Full Morning Safari – Return to Zanzibar

Wake up to the sounds of the African bush and enjoy an early breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive. Explore the park's diverse landscapes – from open grasslands to miombo woodlands – and search for hippos, buffalos, antelopes, and over 400 bird species.

After your game drive, journey back to Morogoro with a lunch stop along the way. Board the afternoon express train to Dar es Salaam, then catch the ferry back to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, your driver will be waiting to transfer you safely back to your hotel.
