Discover Ksar Ghilane, Chenini and Ksar Hadada: Saharan oasis, dromedary ride, Berber villages and Star Wars sets.
Following pick-up from your accommodation, start your excursion by leaving the island of Djerba via the legendary Roman roadway.

Your first stop will be at the top of Mount Ain El Anba, which overlooks the Jeffara plain. Enjoy a beautiful panorama of the landscapes of southern Tunisia before continuing on your way.

You will then travel across the stony tracks towards Ksar Ghilane, a magnificent oasis located at the edge of the Sahara. Known for its hot spring and the remains of an ancient Roman fort, Ksar Ghilane offers an exceptional setting in the heart of the desert.

Upon arrival, enjoy the oasis and its Saharan landscapes. Travelers who have chosen the "Dromedary included" option will go on a dromedary ride through the dunes. After this experience, take some time to relax and enjoy a bath in the oasis's hot springs.

You will then enjoy lunch in a restaurant opposite the dunes, before heading back to Chenini, an ancient Berber village perched on top of the mountain.

With your live guide, set off to discover this traditional village and its rich heritage. You can admire the cave dwellings carved into the walls of the mountain, the village mosque, and the old granaries used to store crops.

The day trip will continue to Ksar Hadada, one of the best-preserved Berber ksour in the Tataouine region. This iconic site also served as the setting for the famous movie Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.

On the way back to Djerba, you will make a final stop at the famous salt lake of Chahbania before being dropped off at your accommodation.

The order of the visits may be changed depending on the weather, heat, and local conditions, while the main stages of the program will be maintained.

When booking, you can choose between two options:

• Option with dromedary included: enjoy a dromedary ride in the dunes of Ksar Ghilane, included in the price.

• Option without dromedary: the dromedary ride is not included. You can enjoy your free time in Ksar Ghilane to explore the oasis, relax, or swim in the hot water spring.

If you would like to go on the dromedary ride, be sure to select the "Dromedary included" option when booking.
