Day 1: Hammamet/Tunis, Kairouan, Sbeitla, Tozeur

Begin your journey with a morning departure from Hammamet or Tunis. Head to Kairouan, one of Tunisia’s most important historic cities. Visit the Great Mosque of Kairouan, the Medina, and the Aghlabid Basins.

Continue to Sbeitla and explore the ancient Roman city of Sufetula, including its impressive Capitol, Roman Forum, and Roman temples. Then, make your way to Tozeur, check in to your hotel, and enjoy free time to discover the city center and Medina.

Day 2: Tozeur, Nefta, Chebika, Tamerza, Mides, Ong Jemel, Chott el Jerid, Douz

Depart from Tozeur and visit Nefta, known for its historic oasis and traditional architecture. Continue by 4x4 towards the mountain oases. Discover Chebika, Tamerza, and Mides, with time to enjoy the spectacular landscapes and canyons.

After lunch, continue towards Ong Jemel and the surrounding desert landscapes. Visit the famous Star Wars filming locations, if desired. Depart towards Douz, crossing Chott el Jerid, Tunisia's vast salt lake. Continue through Souk Lahad towards Douz, known as the Gateway to the Sahara. Arrive in Douz in the late afternoon and enjoy the sunset over the Sahara dunes.

Day 3: Douz, Matmata, El Jem, Hammamet/Tunis

After breakfast, visit the Souk of Douz, famous for its traditional products, local crafts, and authentic desert atmosphere. Continue towards Matmata and discover the famous underground troglodyte houses. Visit a traditional Berber-style house and learn about the unique architecture and lifestyle of the region.

Optionally, visit the Star Wars filming locations in Matmata. Continue towards El Jem and visit the impressive El Jem Roman Amphitheatre, one of Tunisia's most remarkable Roman monuments. Finally, return to Hammamet or Tunis, arriving in the evening.
