From there we start at the Grand Bazaar itself, where your guide explains the story behind the goods and helps you plan a shopping route so you're not going in blind. Next we walk down through the Eminönü market, where locals shop for everyday needs. It's a good look at how the city actually buys and sells, away from the tourist stalls.

We finish at the Spice Bazaar, with its spices, teas, sweets and dried fruit, and plenty of free tastings along the way. From there you're in the center of the city with easy onward transport, whether by tram, ferry or on foot.
