Arrive at Willow Beach Marina and get set up with everything you need. Unlike a structured group tour, the river is yours to explore. Whether you want a fitness-focused workout or a slow drift to soak in the sun, it’s completely up to you. The route is a straightforward, 2-mile paddle upstream, perfect for beginners and experts alike.
The star of the show is the legendary Emerald Cave. By exploring independently, you can time your visit to find a peaceful moment inside the glowing green grotto. When the light hits the water at the right angle, it transforms into a brilliant emerald jewel.
On your way back, keep your eyes peeled for desert bighorn sheep on the cliffs and bald eagles soaring above.

This activity is self-guided, so you can explore at your own pace along a 4-mile paddle, suitable for beginners and experts alike. No guide accompanies you on the water, and basic swimming ability is recommended. Life jackets are provided and must be worn at all times. Keep an eye out for desert bighorn sheep and bald eagles along the way.
The meetup location is the kayak beach boat launch at the Willow Beach Marina. Your guide will be wearing a bright green sun shirt or tank top featuring the logo 'Venture Out Vegas.
