You will be picked up from your accommodation around 8:00 PM and driven in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle to a quiet, secluded beach, reached in less than an hour. Upon arrival, professional and environmentally trained guides will welcome you and ensure that the experience is conducted with the highest respect for wildlife conservation.

During the tour, your guide will share insights about the turtles’ evolution, behavior, and unique characteristics, explaining why their protection is a top priority on the island. Cabo Verde is home to three turtle species, with the loggerhead turtle (commonly known as the common turtle) being the most frequent. The sandy shores of Sal Island are among the most significant nesting sites for this species in the region.

In small groups, you will walk along the beach at night, guided carefully to minimize disturbance. If you are fortunate enough to witness a turtle nesting, you will be asked to sit quietly and observe from a respectful distance, ensuring the animal can complete this extraordinary natural process undisturbed.
