This day trip takes you from Rome to two very different places: the ancient city of Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast.
Pompeii was a Roman city that got buried by an eruption from Mount Vesuvius almost 2,000 years ago. Because of this, many buildings and streets are still standing today. A licensed guide leads a 2-hour walking tour through the main square (the Forum), old public baths, houses like the House of the Faun, and the plaster casts of people who lived there. Entry tickets are included, and you skip the regular ticket line.
You will also see details like cart tracks worn into the stone streets, old snack bars, public fountains, and graffiti on the walls.
After Pompeii, the tour continues to the Amalfi Coast. This includes free time to relax by the sea, swim if you want, and a complimentary drink.
Round-trip transportation from Rome is included, and the tour runs as a small group. Total duration is 12 hours, including travel time.
