Description
Discover the traditions of Japanese matcha in Melbourne with a guided workshop. Learn how to prepare matcha, then paint a ceramic mug or bowl to take home as a unique souvenir.
Slow down and get creative in Melbourne with a calming workshop that pairs Japanese matcha with ceramic painting.
Start with a guided introduction to matcha, learning what it is, where it comes from, and how it has been enjoyed in Japanese culture over time. Then, learn the basics of preparing matcha and make your own bowl, taking a peaceful moment to enjoy the experience.
Next, move into the creative portion of the session. Choose a ceramic mug or a matcha bowl (subject to availability) and bring it to life with your own design. You'll have all the materials you need, plus guided instruction and friendly support throughout, making it easy to follow along even if you've never painted ceramics before.
This workshop is designed to be relaxed and beginner-friendly, ideal for solo travelers, couples, friends, and small creative groups. At the end, leave with your finished painted ceramic piece to take home as a meaningful souvenir from your time in Melbourne.
