From Munich by minivan: Hiking tour to Eagle's Nest

Instead of taking the public bus, we’ll hike up to Eagle’s nest by foot from a quiet, scenic trail that showcases the area’s beauty and conveys the uniqueness and strategic importance of the location of this former NS site.

Best of all, everything is taken care of: hotel pick-up in Munich, a comfortable ride in an air-conditioned minivan, and a knowledgeable English-speaking guide to lead the way. And all this in a small, international group (up to 7 people only).

Our full-day guided tour begins at 8:00 AM, when we pick you up directly from your hotel or accommodation in Munich in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan. After a 2-hour drive to Berchtesgaden, we’ll start our hike. It requires good fitness level, is 6 km long, implies a difference in altitude of 633 meters and takes around 3 hours. It will certainly be exhausting but is technically easy. If you have done mountain hiking before, it is a plus.

Within 3 - 4 hours we hike up to Kehlstein peak to 1834 meters above sea level. You will have enough time there to have lunch, enjoy the view from the summit cross and catch breath.

Now it is time to visit Kehlsteinhaus. You will have around 1 hour to explore the inside of Kehlsteinhaus.

After we will take the public bus down to the valley.

Now the group has 2 options:
Learn more about the history of this significant place in the Documentation center of Kehlsteinhaus in the valley
Have swim or picture stop on the way back at stunning lake Hintersee

At 5 pm we start driving back so that you are back in Munich at latest 7:30 pm.
