Step into a creative Vietnamese silk workshop in Hanoi and explore traditional material through a practical, hands-on experience.
Begin with a short introduction to Vietnamese silk and learn about the characteristics of natural mulberry silk. Discover simple ways to distinguish pure silk from polyester-blended fabric through its texture, sheen, feel, and appearance.
Then begin creating your own bracelet. Choose your preferred silk pattern and select between pearl or wooden beads before placing the beads inside the silk tube and securing each section to form the bracelet.
Once your piece takes shape, make it your own. Add a written or hand-drawn design, trace it with specialized adhesive, and carefully apply gold leaf over the prepared surface. Gently brush away the excess gold to reveal the final gilded detail.
The workshop offers a relaxed way to experience Vietnamese craftsmanship beyond sightseeing. By working directly with silk and completing each stage yourself, you can better understand the material while creating a piece that reflects your own style.

Children aged 12 and above can participate in the workshop in the same way as adults
For younger children, a parent or accompanying adult is responsible for their supervision and care throughout the workshop
Children aged 2 - 11 cannot register as workshop participants and will not be provided with an individual bracelet-making kit or workshop materials, but may accompany their parents and join the bracelet-making activity together with them using the parent’s materials
Parents or accompanying adults are responsible for supervising and taking care of their children throughout the workshop
