Embark on a deep photographic and cultural immersion through the hills of Salvador, connecting history, ancestry, and the vibrant urban scene of the Old Town. We begin our journey at the iconic Santo Antonio Além do Carmo Fortress, a vibrant space of capoeira and memory. Heading to Santo António Church, we guarantee our first panoramic view of the stunning Todos-os-Santos Bay. From there, we walk along the charming Rua Direita, where I will point out the best local bars, striking graffiti, and Candomblé terreiros that preserve our living heritage.

We then head towards Cruz do Paschoal to visit the traditional Bar do Lula and the Plano Inclinado, from where our second view of the bay unfolds. In Carmo and Passo, the scene changes with art galleries, with a highlight being the 'Café e Câmera' space, and the famous Escadaria do Passo. We immerse ourselves in black culture by visiting the Casa Cultural do Reggae, Rua das Flores, and Casa do Benin, and by revisiting the history of Taboão.

In the heart of Pelourinho, we pass by the Church of the Rosary of the Blacks, the Jorge Amado Foundation, and the old Hotel Pelourinho. Connecting art with real experiences, we pass by the facade of the Rocinha community, the important collection of the Zumvi Arquivo Fotográfico, and the Ateliê Spray Cabuloso, taking the opportunity to recommend the cachaça do Cravinho for those who want to enjoy the nightlife.

At Terreiro de Jesus, we experience the convergence of capoeira, the Baianas, baroque churches, squares, and museums, as well as understanding the geography and the inclined plane of the Carnival Museum, accompanied by a third view of the bay. Soon after, at the Cruz Caída and the Memorial das Baianas, we revisit Pierre Verger's visual legacy, enjoying our fourth view.

Walking towards the iconic Lacerda Elevator and seeing the Model Market, we will make a stop at the emblematic Esquina de Zé Pilintra for our fifth panoramic view. We end our experience in the historic Praça Castro Alves, surrounded by the Cine Glauber Rocha, the Teatro da Barroquinha and the Memorial Gregório de Mattos, with a recommendation of the classic restaurant O Coro Comeu and our sixth and final view of the bay at sunset.
