Leave the busy city behind and spend a day among the tea-covered hills of Longwu, one of Hangzhou’s countryside tea-growing areas.
Meet your English-speaking guide and begin with an easy 3–5 km walk through tea fields, village paths, and rolling hills. The route is designed for a relaxed pace, with time to enjoy the scenery, take photos, and learn about the landscape along the way.
Around midday, return to the countryside camp for a self-service BBQ. Prepare and grill the selected ingredients together and enjoy a relaxed outdoor lunch surrounded by nature.
In the afternoon, meet a local tea farmer and discover how Longjing tea is produced from leaf to cup. Learn to recognize the tea plants and understand the correct way to pick fresh leaves. Step into the fields and try picking tea yourself.
Continue with a traditional tea-roasting demonstration or hands-on experience before learning how Longjing tea is brewed and tasted.
Rather than simply sitting in a teahouse, this experience combines Hangzhou’s tea landscapes, countryside life, food, and traditional tea-making in one relaxed day.
Tea-garden learning, roasting, brewing, and tasting remain part of the experience.
