Begin your journey in Medellín and travel to Santa Elena, a picturesque village nestled in the mountains. During the drive, listen to your guide share the history of the Feria de las Flores, a festival that began in the 1950s as a tribute to the region's flower growers.
Upon arrival, be greeted by the warm hospitality of the silleteros, the local flower growers, and enjoy the aroma of freshly cut flowers. Embark on a guided tour of the flower fields and learn about the intricate process of creating a silleta, from selecting the flowers to crafting the structure and composing the colors.
Participate in a hands-on demonstration of silleta-making and enjoy a traditional snack. As a memento of your visit, receive a mulera, a traditional souvenir. After approximately four hours, return to Medellín, where your tour concludes.
