LÔAC – Alaior Art Contemporani is a cultural space in the heart of Alaior where you can discover contemporary art through current exhibitions in a welcoming and accessible setting.
LÔAC – Alaior Art Contemporani is a unique cultural space in Menorca that offers the opportunity to discover an outstanding collection of contemporary art in the heart of Alaior's historic center. Housed in an iconic building on Calle Santiago Pons Quintana, this center brings together more than a hundred highly valuable works loaned to the City Council for public exhibition.
The collection includes works by some of the most renowned artists in Spain and around the world, such as Joan Miró, Miquel Barceló, Marina Abramović, Jaume Plensa, Antonio Saura, and Antoni Tàpies, among many others. This selection makes LÔAC one of the most important art venues in the Balearic Islands.
The tour allows visitors to explore various currents of contemporary art, including Surrealism, Informalism, Abstract Expressionism, and Kinetic Art, through works that reflect the artistic evolution of the 20th and 21st centuries. The exhibition combines artists associated with historical groups such as El Paso with other international perspectives, providing a varied, accessible, and culturally rich experience.
Furthermore, LÔAC is the only public exhibition in Menorca featuring a private collection of this scale, making it a must-see for anyone wishing to enjoy contemporary art during their stay on the island.
The space can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday, in the morning and in the afternoon, and offers various admission options, including reduced rates and free entry for certain groups.
