Casco Bay Legacy Charters is a small, family-run operation, and every charter is 100% private: your boat is never shared with other guests or combined with another booking.
Your USCG-licensed captain and first mate handle all the boating so you can relax and enjoy the ride. Departure is timed so you're out on the water for golden hour, cruising past Casco Bay's islands and historic lighthouses as the light turns gold, then fades over the water. Tell your captain which islands or lighthouses you'd like to see and they'll build the route around it — this is your charter, not a fixed itinerary.
Light snacks, soft drinks, and a cooler are included, and you're welcome to bring your own food, drinks, wine, or champagne to celebrate a special occasion. Casco Bay Legacy Charters regularly hosts proposals, anniversaries, birthdays, and other celebrations aboard.
Charters run May through October, with June through August offering the longest, most dramatic sunsets (golden hour typically begins around 7:00-7:30pm in summer). Choose a 2-hour or 4-hour charter for up to 6 guests, departing from one of several convenient Portland waterfront locations.

Meet your captain at the dock. Depending on your exact departure preference and tides, your captain may confirm one of a few convenient Portland waterfront locations (Maine State Pier, Fore Points Marina, Bell Buoy Park, or Spring Point Marina) when your booking is confirmed.
