Embark on a 14-day adventure through Ethiopia. Explore Addis Ababa, trek in the Simien Mountains, visit the Blue Nile Falls, and hike to the summit of Mt. Erta'ale.
Begin your adventure in Addis Ababa with a visit to Merkato, the largest open market in Africa. Explore the National Museum and Entoto Park before spending the night in a hotel.
Fly to Semera and drive to Lake Afdera, known for its salt extraction. Visit the salt production and swim in the lake before camping overnight.
Drive to Mt. Erta'ale and hike to the summit to witness the mesmerizing lava spitting upwards. Camp overnight at the volcano.
Descend to Askoma and drive back to Semera, stopping to visit the Alalobed thermal and hot springs. Spend the night in a hotel.
Fly to Gondar and prepare for the upcoming trekking days. Drive to Sankaber, passing through Debark, the headquarters of Simien Mountains National Park. Camp overnight at Sankaber.
Trek for 7 to 8 hours to Gich, admiring the majestic mountains and Jinbar waterfall. Camp overnight at Gich.
Hike to Mt. Imet Gogo for stunning views over the highlands and lowlands. Enjoy a sunset view from the nearest peak to Gich. Camp overnight at Gich.
Embark on a long trek to Chenek, with a memorable lunch break at Mt. Enatiye. Camp overnight at Chenek.
Drive back to Gondar, stopping to see the endemic Chalada Baboons. Spend the night in a hotel.
Explore Gondar’s 17th/18th-century castles, the bath of King Fasiladas, the church of Debre Birhan Selassie, and the ruins of Queen Mentiwab’s palace at Quskwam. Spend the night in a hotel.
Drive to Bahir Dar, admiring the scenery and making photographic stops. Spend the night in a hotel.
Take a boat trip on Lake Tana to visit two of the oldest monasteries of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. In the afternoon, visit the Blue Nile Falls. Spend the night in a hotel.
Fly back to Addis Ababa and visit the Holy Trinity Cathedral and souvenir shops. Enjoy a farewell dinner at a cultural restaurant to mark the end of your tour.
