We'll discover must-see sites, including the extraordinary Palais des Papes, the ancient Roman forum now known as the Place de l'Horloge, and the famous Pont Bénezet, which spans the Rhône. But you'll also discover a more intimate and welcoming Avignon, with its squares, alleyways, churches, the synagogue, and private mansions off the beaten track.
I'll tell you about the history of the City of the Popes, from its origins to the present day. I'll also share many anecdotes that will familiarize you with this city. Our tour will conclude at the Place Saint-Didier, where you will see the oldest coffee shop of Avignon and the six bells of the old Church Saint-Didier.
