From there, we'll slip into the secret passageways of Lyon, les traboules, and follow their hidden Renaissance courtyards deeper into the old town. This is where Vieux Lyon keeps its best kept secrets, and I'll show you exactly where to find them.
We'll keep winding through the district toward the Saône, tracing the water's edge and ducking into a few more quiet corners most visitors never find. Some are architectural, some are simply beautiful, and one is quietly one of the most photographed spots in the old town, if you know where to look.
No visit to Lyon is complete without tasting its most famous pastry, a pink praline brioche so beloved it's become a local institution.
Optional Add-on: We can then make our way to the funicular and ride up to Fourvière, where the basilica and a sweeping view over the whole city bring the tour to a close.
