Have you ever visited an active volcano? This is your chance, the visit to the Pacaya volcano is very easy, after a one and a half hour walk!!!
We will depart from Guatemala City and head towards the town of San Vicente Pacaya. This volcano has an altitude of 2552 m, we will start the ascent at 1920 m and reach the summit at 2300 m. The ascent is a natural spectacle, we will
enjoy observing both the fauna and the flora and also take nice pictures at the Viewpoints. At the end of your walk you will reach a rocky and arid area where you can see the volcano and lava flows, and where you can cook marshmallows.
During your journey you will find the Lava Store, where you can feel free to buy a souvenir made with volcanic material. After this natural spectacle we will return to Guatemala City.
