Description

Private day tour to the southwest region of Mauritius. Visit to volcanic crater, Grand Bassin Temple, iconic waterfalls and natural colored earth
Discover Mauritius' southern region on a private day tour, with pick-up and drop-off over the whole island. Admire spectacular view of the Trou aux Cerfs volcanic crater, mountain landscapes, cascading waterfalls, and the Grand Bassin Hindu Temple.

The trip starts at your hotel where you will be picked up. Depending on the location of your hotel (or place of stay), we will head to the Trou aux Cerfs crater to see the extinct Trou aux Cerfs volcano, which has now been taken over by vegetation.
Then, explore the Grand Bassin Hindu Temple which is surrounded by the crater lake, commonly (and locally) known as the Ganga Talao. There, you will learn about the Hindu culture in Mauritius. From the Grand Bassin Hindu Temple, head to the Black River Gorges view point to enjoy the island's southern landscapes and mountains, coupled with the splendid view of the Alexandra Waterfall.

Finally, proceed to the Seven Colored Earths at Chamarel to see the 100-meter drop waterfall, which is the highest waterfall in Mauritius, and the natural geological formation of different colored earth. You will also have the chance to see the resident giant turtles. From here you will be driven back to your hotel.
