Begin your adventure by lining up well before 4 a.m. to get a serving. On weekends, the queues are long, and the biryani can sell out by 9 a.m. Watch as hundreds of kilograms of biryani are prepared in a large-scale operation.
Learn about the tradition that began at Mani Dum Biryani in Hoskote in 1992, initially to serve truckers and factory workers who needed a hot, hearty meal before starting or after finishing their shifts. What started with a small quantity of meat has grown into a large-scale operation, with hundreds of kilograms of biryani sold each morning, especially on weekends.
