Learn the basics of scuba diving on a 4-hour program in the Gili Islands. Practice in a swimming pool before heading to the ocean for a dive with an instructor.
Begin your experience with a basic dive theory session, where you'll learn the essentials of scuba diving. Then, head to one of the swimming pools for a confined water practice session. Get comfortable with the equipment and practice essential skills under the guidance of an experienced instructor.
Once you're ready, head to the ocean for an open water dive at one of the many suitable dive sites for beginner-level divers around the Gili Islands. Descend to a maximum depth of 12 meters and explore the underwater world.
The time spent in the ocean depends on how quickly you finish the air in the scuba tank, but is normally around 45 minutes. Enjoy a small group experience with no more than four divers per instructor. If you're traveling with a bigger group, there will be multiple scuba instructors to ensure a safe and enjoyable dive experience.
